Accessibility – From Sangamner via Rajur, state transport buses ply to Ratanwadi the base village. The fort can be seen from the village, and with a well frequently route, one can reach on a plateau in half hour. Further through dense forest in half hour one can reach the fort entrance via 2 ladders.
Facilities – 8-10 people can stay in the Masjid on the fort. There is not potable water in the tank on the fort. Food arrangements should be done by self.

History – Amruteshwar, the base temple of Ratangad in Ratanwadi is stone-carved nearly 1000 years old, hence the fort also might be quite old. The records say that the fort was built by Sanj king and has no record in the Shivaji history. The forts of Alang, Madan Kulang were under the control of the authority of Ratangad. In 1763 the fort was under control of same Koli sardar namely Jawaji. In 1820, British captain Godard acquired the fort and destroyed the approached on the fort, and hence the ladders are used.
